On March 29, China Haisum convened its annual Science and Technology Work Conference in Wuhan, where they reviewed past experience, analyzed the current situation, and charted the course for future scientific and technological endeavors. Cai Muyi, Deputy General Manager of Poly Sinolight, was present to provide guidance. Zhao Guoang, Deputy General Manager of Poly Sinolight and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Haisum, and Chen Rongrong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China Haisum, also attended the conference. The conference was chaired by Zhou Yuan, Vice President and Technical Director of China Haisum.
To implement the new requirements set forth by Poly Sinolight, which emphasizes "adhering to innovation-driven development and nurturing talents to enhance core competitiveness," the conference comprehensively reviewed the achievements and weaknesses of the Company's scientific and technological work over the past year and made arrangements for key tasks in 2023. The headquarters' Technology R&D Center, EIM Digital Innovation Center, as well as relevant departments and directors of professional committees from various subsidiaries, shared their experience and insights on measures for technical quality, scientific and technological innovation, and professional standardization in scientific and technological research and development.
In his speech, Chen Rongrong highlighted the importance of establishing professional standards and gradually promoting industry standards, with the ultimate goal of upgrading and formulating relevant standards for companies, the light industry sector, and even the nation. He emphasized leveraging digitalization to break through technological barriers, utilizing platforms to benefit the Company, customers, and the light industry sector, and creating an intelligent platform that excels in capabilities beyond individuals. Chen also stressed the significance of recognizing the importance of scientific and technological innovation for "living well", assessing strengths objectively, and repositioning for a fresh start.
Cai Muyi emphasized in his speech that technological innovation should revolve around business, development, and the extension and expansion of core technologies to empower customers. He also provided guidance on strengthening collaborative innovation and applying for high-quality scientific and technological awards in the next phase.
In the concluding speech titled "Innovation Drives Development, Technology Leads the Future", Zhao Guoang reviewed the progress of the Company's reform and development, clarified the strategic significance of scientific research work for the Company's development, and emphasized the central tasks and priorities of scientific research work.
He pointed out that there is now a greater need than ever before to enhance scientific and technological innovation, calling for efforts to fulfill the scientific and technological innovation work requirements of Poly Sinolight, consider it a key element for development, and ensure that its outcomes create more value. Zhao also stressed the transformation from ordinary to extraordinary through scientific and technological innovation, from domestic leadership to world-class status.
A total of 76 participants, including the main leaders of China Haisum's subsidiaries, heads of science and technology departments at all levels, and relevant experts, attended the conference.
