On October 27, China Haisum's Light Industry Transformation Symposium & 70th Anniversary Celebration, themed "Carrying Forward the Spirit of Light Industry to Accelerate Digital Transformation and Empower High-Quality Development of New Industrialization", was held in Shanghai. Guo Yongxin, Secretary General of China National Light Industry Council (CNLIC), Ruan Li, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Cao Liqiang, Secretary of Xuhui District Party Committee of Shanghai Municipality, and Wang Hongwei, Standing Committee Member and Executive Deputy Mayor of Xuhui District, attended the event and delivered speeches. Zhang Wanshun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Poly Group, attended the event and delivered a speech.
Prior to the event, General Manager Zhang Wanshun had cordial discussions with Secretary-General Guo Yongxin, Secretary Cao Liqiang, Deputy Director Ruan Li, Deputy District Mayor Wang Hongwei, and other leaders, and signed in and took a group photo together.
At the request of Zhang Chonghe, Chairman of CNLIC, Secretary-General Guo Yongxin attended the event. Ruan Li said in his speech that China Haisum has played its role in the planning and construction of most of the well-known light industry enterprises in Shanghai. He looks forward to the company further leveraging its advantages and leading role to deepen technological innovation and digital transformation, and making greater contributions to the high-quality development of Shanghai's manufacturing industry.
Wang Hongwei said in his speech that China Haisum has continued to grow and expand in Xuhui District, actively supporting the construction and development of Xuhui District through practical actions. Xuhui District will continue to support the development of China Haisum and contribute to "building a new Xuhui and embarking on a new journey".
Cai Muyi said in his speech that as a holding subsidiary of Poly Sinolight, China Haisum has always been at the forefront of technological advancement in the domestic light manufacturing industry. Starting from a new historical point, he believes that China Haisum will seize strategic opportunities, enhance strategic initiatives, and reach new heights.
Zhao Guoang delivered a keynote speech at the conference. He reviewed the extraordinary process of China Haisum's growth and expansion along with the light industry, summarized the practical experience of the evergreen foundation of the light industry, and inspired today's light industry workers to carry forward the spirit of light industry, bear in mind the historical missions, respond to new missions put forward by the times, and continuously create new glories.
He said that as an important member of Poly Group and Sinolight Corporation, China Haisum is an important force in achieving the strategic goals of China's economic and social development, and bears important responsibilities in the process of national modernization. It is important to always implement national strategies and serve the high-quality development of new industrialization. In the process of establishing standards, expanding patents, strengthening brands, improving quality, expanding markets, and increasing efficiency, efforts should be made to promote digitalization, intelligence, and greenization, and continuously enhance industrial competitiveness. It is crucial to ignite the sparks of innovation and give birth to a "new fulcrum" for development in the next decade and beyond. Zhang Wanshun emphasized in his concluding speech that this event is both a reflection on the glorious past and a glimpse into the future. The 70-year development journey of China Haisum has witnessed the birth and socialist construction of the new China and the tremendous changes in China's light industry, while also supporting the robust development of the light industry in developing countries. China Haisum's struggle to this day is a testament to the dedication and hard work of generations of practitioners in the light industry to fulfill the mission of "serving the country through light industry" and their pioneering spirit in achieving the great endeavor of making China a major power in the light industry. The key to China Haisum's continuous growth and its achievements and status today lies in achieving "four selves": continuous self-transcendence in core capabilities, constant self-innovation in development direction, ongoing self-discipline in assuming responsibility, and continued self-accumulation in leveraging collective strength and sharing resources.
Zhang Wanshun emphasized that to achieve new industrialization, firstly, it is necessary to thoroughly implement the major strategic deployment of the Party and the country, deeply understand the connotation and direction of new industrialization, fully invest in prospective new industries, and accelerate the establishment of a comprehensive industrial chain. Secondly, it is important to have a keen insight into the trends of supply and demand changes in the light industry, which requires to accurately grasp the focal areas of technological innovation, strengthen original and leading technological R&D, promote the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, and advance digital and intelligent development. Thirdly, it is crucial to firmly establish a clear strategic direction for the company and implement various measures to support the transformation and development. To that end, it should seize opportunities, spare no efforts in promoting the implementation of reform initiatives, and continuously support the green and sustainable development of countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
During the meeting, China Haisum, together with industry-leading enterprises such as Sinar Mas Group APP (China), Putailai, Yueyang Forest & Paper Co.,Ltd, Jingxing Paper Joint Stock Co., Ltd, Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd, Bright Food (Group), Huanghelou Sci-Tech. Park, and Guizhou Maotai, issued the Initiative for High-Quality Development of New Industrialization. This initiative aims to build an industry ecosystem, establish a cooperation platform for the transformation and development of the light industry, accelerate the advancement of new industrialization, and promote the construction of a manufacturing powerhouse.
The conference unveiled the Chronicle of China Haisum's 70th Anniversary, Core Value System of China Haisum, and celebrated the anniversary of the company's establishment. Furthermore, distinguished awards such as the Top Ten Figures of China Haisum's 70th Anniversary, Top Ten Projects of China Haisum's 70th Anniversary, and Star Customers of China Haisum's 70th Anniversary were presented. Commemorative medals were also bestowed upon representatives of employees who have dedicated 30 years of service.
Interviews were conducted with Zhang Huanheng from Guangzhou Environment Protection Investment Group Co., Ltd and Luo Jun from China Haisum Guangzhou Company, as well as Tang Changdan from Jiaxing RAYITEK Film Technology Co., Ltd, and Li Shijun from China Light Industry Construction Co., Ltd (wholly-owned subsidiary of China Haisum). Ms. Zhai Jingli from Sinar Mas Group APP (China) delivered a speech as a representative of major customers in the industry. In the conference, the three generations of light industry workers, represented by former leaders Fan Yan, Liu Wei from China Haisum Beijing Company, and Li Fang from China Haisum Shanghai Headquarters, shared their insights, reminiscing about the past, focusing on the present, and expressing their expectations for the future.
Prior to the commemorative conference, participants also attended events such as a symposium on the development of the light industry and China Haisum under the theme of "Seventy Years of Hardships, Forging Ahead" and a thematic forum on high-quality development under the background of the new industrialization.
