On May 6, 2024, at 8:30 am, Yueyang Forest & Paper Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Yueyang Forest & Paper") grandly held the Yueyang Forest & Paper's Chemical Pulp and Alkali Furnace Energy-Saving and Emission-Reduction Project - Displacement Cooking EPC Project Commissioning Ceremony. Ye Meng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Yueyang Forest & Paper, Liu Lixin and Yao Zeyang, Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee, Yan Chengmin, Commander of the Project Command Headquarters, Chen Rongrong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China Haisum, and Vice Presidents Zhang Zhi, Li Shijun and Luo Jun, and Xie Xianguo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CEC attended the event. Leaders from both sides expressed warm congratulations on the successful commissioning of the project.

During the implementation of the project, there were multiple challenges such as adverse weather conditions like rain, snow and ice, as well as limitations in the construction operation range. With the support of the owner, both parties cooperated efficiently, with a construction period of less than 10 months, and the commissioning was successfully achieved on April 27, 2024 as scheduled. The quality of produced pulp is excellent and fully meets the established production standards.

This commissioning is a significant achievement of high-level safety supporting high-quality development. It is an important leap of new productivity-driven independent R&D. It is also a successful practice of integrating party building with business, and a leading example of collaboration between state-owned central enterprises.

In the future, both parties will continue to explore strategic cooperation space around the "dual-carbon" goals, continue to support each other in green transformation, intelligent manufacturing, emerging industries, and other aspects, and build a win-win situation based on mutual trust and mutual benefits.

During the event, the Party Committees of Yueyang Forest & Paper and China Haisum CEC jointly organized a theme activity for party building cooperation. Representatives from both sides showed a spirit of "never giving up" on the badminton court, further consolidating the joint efforts of Party building and inspiring cooperative vitality.

Tips: This project is a key project for Yueyang Forest & Paper to promote green environmental protection and quality upgrade. It is undertaken by China Haisum CEC. The project involves the construction of a new 200,000 t/a sulfate air-dry pulp displacement cooking production line, including supporting wood chip preparation line. Through the complete design, procurement, construction, and installation EPC, the project's process nodes are controlled to ensure commissioning as scheduled. The project adopts a leading domestic displacement cooking technology, achieving energy saving, emission reduction and efficiency increase, bringing economic and environmental benefits to the owner.
