With the theme of “Design without Limits, New Quality Growth”, the 2024 World Design Capital Congress (WDCC2024) opened on the morning of September 27 at the Dingbo Building in Shanghai.

As an official supporting partner of the WDCC2024, China Haisum Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Haisum”) participated in the exhibition.

Concurrently, China Haisum held the " Smart Engineering • Digital Intelligence Growth " Forum to discuss the future trends of corporate digital upgrading and smart manufacturing.

On the Forum, China Haisum released a series of innovative digital intelligence products in the engineering industry, for the purpose of boosting corporate digital upgrading and intelligent development.

Liu Boying, Level II Bureau Rank Official from Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Office of Cultural and Creative Industries; Zhang Chonghe, Former Deputy Director of the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Light Industry Council; An Shengjie, Assistant to the General Manager of Poly Group, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Poly Sinolight; and Zhao Guoang, Deputy General Manager of Poly Sinolight and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Haisum, attended the Forum and delivered speeches.

In his speech, Liu Boying said that smart manufacturing is an important choice for the megacity Shanghai to promote new industrialization. He hoped that the experts, scholars, and outstanding industry representatives present at the Forum would give full play to their wisdom and share their talents, express profound insights, discuss innovative ideas, and explore new paths and write new chapters for promoting the development of smart manufacturing in the light industry in Shanghai and even nationwide.

In his speech, Zhang Chonghe said that design is important new quality productive forces, and China National Light Industry Council actively supports China Haisum to take a lead in digital intelligence and innovative development, and to make new contributions and achieve new splendors for the development of light industry through its profound cultural heritage, advanced design concepts, and enterprising spirit! For the purpose of promoting digital intelligence design and serving the development of the light industry, he put forward five suggestions, emphasizing the need to serve product innovation, smart manufacturing, green and low-carbon development, industrial clusters, and a better life.

In his speech, An Shengjie pointed out that actively fostering and developing new quality productive forces is not only an inevitable need to serve China’s national strategy, but also the main direction of business development. As a large innovative industrial group in the domestic light industry and a leader in the technological progress, transformation, and upgrading of the light industry, Poly Sinolight has been carefully analyzing what China needs, what drives the development of the industry, and what the enterprise can do, developing a deeper understanding of the development ideas of strategic emerging industries, actively promoting the layout of strategic emerging industries, and coordinating the work in the fields of synthetic biology and light chemical new materials. Driven by a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, China Haisum will press ahead with concrete efforts for achievements, continuously explore new paths for smart engineering, develop new technologies and products, serve the development of strategic emerging industries while serving the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and inject new impetus, provide new growth drivers and create new strengths for the high-quality development of various industries and sectors.

Zhao Guoang delivered the keynote speech at the Forum. He pointed out that this Forum aims to build a global design cooperation and exchange platform and explore the path of design-driven new quality development. We should focus on the digital transformation and smart manufacturing layout of light industry and related industries, and conduct in-depth discussions on how new quality productive forces can enable the upgrading of traditional industries and promote the development of emerging industries. China Haisum has been exploring the application of cutting-edge technology to enable engineering projects to "grow" in the digital space, unlocking unprecedented vitality and creativity, and forming new quality productive forces for the transformation from traditional manufacturing to "smart manufacturing". He hoped that this Forum would generate more sparks of wisdom and innovative inspiration, stimulate "new quality growth", and open a glorious chapter of digital intelligence transformation.

The Forum invited authoritative figures including experts from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, academic leaders, and corporate executives to analyze the future trends of corporate digital upgrading and smart manufacturing.

?Wu Tong, the executive in charge of China's advanced manufacturing business at the World Economic Forum, noted that the Global Lighthouse Network has developed into an interconnected end-to-end value chain and expanded beyond the industry; and each factory and supply chain should achieve high energy efficiency and ecological sustainability.

?Guo Chenglong, Director of the Research Institute of Economic and Trade Laws at the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, noted that smart manufacturing is an important technological route and path for promoting the formation of new quality productive forces; and various industries and sectors should take AI + manufacturing as the main line and comprehensively promote the digital intelligence transformation of the manufacturing industry.

?Yan Huaicheng, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of East China University of Science and Technology, introduced the team’s latest progress of research on intelligent unmanned system applications, as well as its application prospects in unmanned vehicles, multi-robots, unmanned aerial vehicle collaboration, spacecraft intelligent autonomous technology, and network-based intelligent clusters.

Chen Rongrong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China Haisum and Chairman of China Engineering Construction Association of Light Industry, introduced the China Haisum Digital Intelligence Product System. He pointed out that China Haisum has independently developed four major digital intelligence products, including the Haisum • Cloud Workshop, digital delivery platform, hyper-converged data mid-platform, and smart manufacturing solutions. In the future, China Haisum will resonate with customers and industries, help companies improve their core competitiveness, achieve sustainable development, and contribute to industrial innovation, integration, optimization and upgrading.

At this Forum, China Haisum, together with traditional industry enterprises including Guangxi Sugar Industry, Luzhou Laojiao, Sun Paper, Jinguang Group, Jinling Petrochemical, as well as strategic emerging industry enterprises including Henan CEVIA ENVIRO INC., CNGR New Materials, Haier Group, JIA PETS FOOD, and Shanghai RECOM BIO, jointly released the Haisum • Cloud Workshop and Digital Delivery Platform.
